Keeping You Informed on FSM’s Connectivity Evolution

With a US$30.8 million World Bank grant approved in April 2020, FSM Telecommunications Cable Corporation (FSMTCC) is revolutionizing connectivity in the nation. Undersea fiber optic cables now connect Pohnpei, Chuuk, and Yap, with Kosrae joining in 2024. Overseen by the Telecommunication Regulations Authority (TRA), this project fosters competition, innovation, and improved services. Key milestones include the launch of the FTTH network in Yap and extensive survey work in Yap and Pohnpei, driving FSM’s digital transformation forward.
